OCDA INTENSIFIES THE ENFORCEMENT OF BUILDING REGULATIONS IN THE STATE CAPITAL.

The State Government through its Development Control Agency Owerri Capital Development Authority (OCDA), on Thursday intensified the enforcement of building regulations in some parts of the State Capital starting with Nworie Pocket Layout, Buildings off second and third inland roads New Owerri and so on.

Overseeing the enforcement activity alongside the operational Team of the Agency, the Special Adviser and General Manager of Owerri Capital Development Authority (OCDA) Engr. The OCDA General Manager Engr. Chukwu while explaining that the enforcement action will continue in order to ensure that all buildings are certified and okayed to be where such buildings have been sited, directed that demand notices be served the owners of the identified and marked buildings to ensure that the owners visit the Agency and make the necessary clarifications with the relevant documents just as he announced that all Building owners in and around Nworie Pocket Layout should turn in their approvals and title documents.

Engr. Francis Chukwu was accompanied on the routine operational activity by the Head of Survey Department at the Agency Surveyor Anselem Okere, Director of Operations Rt. Hon. Nwankwo, Engineers and Architects among others.
