OCDA GM, Engr. Chukwu pays familiarization visit to Imo Ministry of Lands
The General Manager of Owerri Capital Development Authority OCDA Engr. Francis Chukwu has expressed the readiness of the Agency to have an effective working synergy and close collaboration with the Imo state Ministry of Lands Survey in order to contribute towards achieving the developmental agenda of the Governor Uzodimma led Administration in the State.
He made this known today when he paid a familiarization visit to the New Honourable Commissioner for Lands Survey Barr. Kezie Ogaziechi in his office at the State Secretariat Owerri.
According to the OCDA helmsman, "this familiarization visit is designed for the Ministry and the Authority to interface and fashion out best ways of not only achieving the set targets but surpassing the targets and setting new standards."
Engr Chukwu while expressing gratitude to the Governor for appointing him as the OCDA General Manager, congratulated Barr. Kezie Ogaziechi on his appointment as the Honourable Commissioner for Lands Survey by the Governor His Excellency Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma.
Responding, the Hon. Commissioner for Lands Survey Barr. Kezie Ogaziechi applauded Engr. Chukwu and his team for the visit and assured him of the willingness of the Ministry to partner with OCDA just as he also stressed the need for Government Agencies to work as a Team in order to have seamless understanding among them.
The Honourable who described the visit as the right way to start, noted that he has concluded plans to introduce a periodic inter-agency interface to have a common ground that will bring about smooth operations among Government Agencies supervised by the Ministry for optimum result.
Also Speaking, the Director of Lands in the Ministry Mr. Isaac Oguzie disclosed that the familiarization visit of Engr. Chukwu was the first he has witnessed in a very long while, adding that before now what they observed at the Ministry most times was a situation whereby Heads of various Agencies are appointed and they start operating without identifying with the Ministry with a view to finding out best ways to collaborate in order to have smooth operations.
The OCDA General Manager Engr. Francis Chukwu was accompanied on the Familiarization visit by Heads of Survey and Town Planning Departments of OCDA Surveyor Anselem Okere and Mr. Amanwune Chibuike respectively.
