Imo State government through the Owerri capital development authority OCDA demolish illegal structures at Green Verge Owerri.
Recalling the 7days and 48hours demolition notice served to the owners of the building erected on Green Verge along Emmanuel College Owerri, the Imo State government through the OCDA has demolished a building belonging to Chief Emma Odor and Integrated Fuel station owned by Capt. Emmanuel Iheanacho
In a statement by Engr. Francis Chukwu, who led the operational team of OCDA in carrying out the demolition exercise. He states that "the demolition notice was duly served to the respective owners of the properties, pointing out that the structures were wrongly built on Green Verge.
He also explained that the demolition was part of the actions taken by the State government to actualize the construction of a modern recreational park with seamless boat ride. He also said that when the project is completed, it will boost the State government revenue as well serve as a means to generate more funds to execute more people oriented project for imolites.
