Massive Road Construction Begins In Imo
— Contractors Mobilized To Sites
Contractors handling road construction in Imo State has been re-mobilized back to their various sites following the advent of dry season in the state.
Road constructions were halted to some extent during the rainy season following unabated torrential rainfalls and with the coming of dry season, the state is capitalizing on the clement whether to fix up some broken roads in the state.
On routine inspection, the commissioner for works Hon. Raph Nwosu assured the people of the state of a quality job from the contractors as the state government have vowed for a total compliance to the best engineering practices.
Hon. Nwosu further reiterated the State Government stand on quality and standard construction of roads in Imo State, stating that government will not tolerate any act of sharp practices by any contractor.
In the state capital; roads like the worldbank/Umuguma road, Emmanuel college/naze roads, etc, orlu/Owerri road and Okigwe /Owerri road, Okigwe township roads in the outskirt are seriously receiving attention as they are now at various stages of completion and work is expected to commence on other roads in shortest possible time.
It will be a commissioning spree by next year as works are seriously ongoing at over 28 critical roads in the three Senatorial districts of the state.
Imo is working again!
