LABOUR DAY 2022: ENGR.CHUKWU SALUTES OCDA WORKERS

On this auspicious occasion of Workers day 2022 which is commemorated on 1st of May annually, may I on behalf of my Family, the Management and Staff of Owerri Capital Development Authority (OCDA) profoundly felicitate with all workers of Owerri Capital Development Authority on this very important annual celebration.

Indeed, workers remain the engine room of every Government at all levels and their contributions towards nation building can never be overemphasized. Our workers have always been pivotal towards the implementation of policies and programmes of Government both at the Federal, State and Local levels, and they deserve to be celebrated not only today but always.

Notably, it is one thing to be a worker and another thing to be a good and dedicated worker. Accordingly, a good and dedicated worker is indeed a blessing to the nation. On this premise, while I extol and encourage all good and dedicated Workers, I want to challenge those that are not doing so well to retrace their footsteps and turn a new leaf to become much better workers in order to be more productive in their various establishments as this is the only way they can justify the celebration of today.Outstandingly, just as a good and dedicated worker deserves reward and motivation, I wish to once again use this medium to deeply appreciate and commend the Executive Governor of Imo State His Excellency Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma for the approval and prompt payment of the 13th month basic salary to Imo workers last December. The action of His Excellency despite the dwindling economy remains an impressive motivation to our dear workers. Therefore, our dear Imo Workers should see this gesture as a morale booster for them to redouble their efforts towards the full actualization of the developmental Agenda of His Excellency Senator Hope Uzodimma which is anchored on the 3R policy thrust of Reconstruction, Rehabilitation and Recovery.

Lastly, it is my wish, my desire and above all my prayers that the efforts of good and dedicated workers will always be recognized and rewarded at all times for the optimal satisfaction of the workers by God's Grace. To God be the Glory AMEN.

Long live

Long live OCDA Workers!!!

Long live Imo State !!!
