Yet to be identified Gunmen on Tuesday afternoon opened fire at traditional rulers meeting in Imo, killing at least three Traditional Rulers.
The unfortunate incident happened at the headquarter of Njaba Local Government Area, Nnenassa, of the state during a meeting of the traditional rulers and selected stakeholders in the LGA.
Several others present at the meeting sustained various forms of life threatening gun shots injuries and were rushed to the nearest health facilities for treatment.
We gather that there is heavy Security presence in the council headquarters and it's environs as we report.
The police spokesperson in the state, Mike Abattam, said" two of the traditional rulers had been confirmed dead while the command had commenced investigation into the incident".
Eze Anayo of Okwudor, the Eze Osunwa of Ihebinowere were confirmed dead on the spot,Eze Onyeaka of Nkume was wounded on the head and rushed to hospital,while Eze Umunam Atta was shot on his waist.
