Civil Servants in Imo state will be getting 100% 13th month salary for the first time this year.
This was made known by the State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma during a meeting with members of the Imo State Civil Service to brief them on his administration's achievements and also encourage them as 'Engine Room' of Government to always discharge their duties effectively.
The event which happened at the Rear Admiral Ndubuisi Kanu's Square, presented the Governor the opportunity to appreciate the Civil Servants for their dedication to duty and promised to always ensure their welfare is improved on.
"I commend members of the Civil Service for your dedication to duties and steadfastness in the face of prevailing challenges confronting our dear State. As the engine room of Government, your role is of paramount importance in the success of any administration and I accord this very sense of respect" Uzodimma said.
The Governor further said "In celebrating our Civil Servants, I have approved the payment of 100% 13th month Salary for all Civil Servants and in the spirit of Christmas, I also approved the procurement and distribution of some food items for all Ministries, Departments and Agencies. By this, I reassure you of my commitment to your welfare".
