Imo Speaker donates towards Church Building anew, commis

The number 3 citizen of Imo State, Rt. Hon. Barr. Kennedy Chidozie Ibeh, has again contributed immensely in the building of House of God, through a meaningful donation for Harvest of College of Nursing Science Umulogho Obowo and fundraising for their new Church building (Chaplaincy).

Mr. Speaker, yesterday, Sunday, February 27, 2022, was ably represented by his proactive and indefatigable Chief of Staff, Hon. Barr. Kelechi Onyegbule, and some other Speaker's Aides, who accompanied the Chief of Staff to the events.

Speaking at the Church, the Chief of Staff, said, "It is with great joy that I announce to you, that I enjoyed this mass here, the sermon was superb, the Choristers were very good, even the Lay Reader did excellently well. Mr. Speaker, Rt. Hon. Barr. Kennedy Chidozie Ibeh, enthusiastically planned to be here by himself, but he is currently with the Governor at the Government House Chaplaincy, so he sent me, his Chief of Staff, to represent him & make sure I participate in everything you are doing today", Hon. Barr. Kelechi Onyegbule, said.

Barr. Onyegbule went ahead and explained to the Church, College of Nursing Science Chaplaincy, that Mr. Speaker does not joke with anything concerning God or Church building, as he will continue to thank and appreciate God for the valuable elevation/promotion as the Number 3 Citizen of Imo State. Barr. Onyegbule elucidated how the Speaker is building and renovating some Churches & Houses of the Servants of God in Obowo, starting from the Anglican Church in his Community, Umuokeh Obowo, and others.

Hon. Barr. Kelechi Onyegbule, made some donations for the harvest while he explained that the Speaker wishes to start the foundation of the new Chaplaincy by himself in less than two weeks, as he will continue to build the House of God as much as possible.

In his response, the Chaplain of the Chaplaincy, Rev. Fr. James Anyanwu, expressed his profound joy & gratitude for the presence of the Speaker through his Chief of Staff, he equally thanked Mr. Speaker for honouring his invitation and the meaningful donations from the Speaker, promised that in no distant time, the foundation laying of the new Chaplaincy will start & the Speaker will be fully informed & involved.

The proactive Chief of Staff after contributing immensely at the College of Nursing Science Umulogho Obowo, on behalf of the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Barr. Kennedy Ibeh, proceeded to Anglican Church Umunachi Obowo, for the memorial service of Hon. Udochukwu Nwagwu's father father, Late Pa Gabriel Nwagwu; from the Church, the Chief of Staff and his entourage retired at Nwagwu's family house where he joined the Priest at the grave side for memorial service prayers.

It was practically a long day, as the Chief of Staff, on behalf of the Speaker, utilized the opportunity to exchange pleasantries with a lot of people, some political Allies, brothers and sisters, mostly the good people of Obowo.
