All public Secondary and Primary schools in Imo State closed for the first term of 2021/2022 season yesterday, Friday, 17th Of December, 2021.
When Imoflash Correspondents visited some public schools in the State, pupils/students were in joyful mood as most of them could not hide their excitement on the prospect of going home to celebrate the yuletide season with families and loved ones, especially those of them coming back from different parts of the Country.
In a interview with some students of the prestigious Federal Government Girls College Owerri, and Government Girls College, Owerri, they expressed great enthusiasm as they are going home after many weeks in the hostels, They looked forward to a great Christmas Celebrations.
Most students were seen carrying bags and luggage, as their parents, Siblings and Friends came to pick them from the school.
A student also said he wish the holiday will last for a long time so that he can gain his weight bag, with reference to the stress they encounter in school. Some also complained that the interval of the holiday is too short and promised to make every minute count.
Official date of resumption for the new term is unknown.
