Imo state Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma on Tuesday played host to a delegation from the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria, (CIBN) at Douglas House, Owerri, Imo state.
The delegation was in the state for the Groundbreaking Ceremony of the 'The CIBN Bankers Hall'. A project that the Institute is building for the renowned Federal Polytechnic Nekede.
Governor Uzodimma commended the roles the Institute is playing in making sure that the Nigerian's financial industry is sanitized and one that has great integrity.
The Governor thanked the CIBN for finding Federal Polytechnic Nekede worthy of such a legacy project and also used the gathering to call for more partnership and support to the state,noting that his government is putting everything in place to ensure that Imo state becomes a haven for investments.
"I acknowledged the roles played by the institute in ensuring sanity and integrity in Nigeria's financial industry. Their professionalism is endowed with developmental features of which we are desirous of in our dear State".
"As the institute extends hands of fellowship through her Corporate Social Responsibility, I appeal for more partnership with the State in our industrialization drive". Uzodimma stated
