Hon Uwakwe on Friday visited the members of the Obowo Youths progressive forum to felicitate with them in a spirit of fellowship and camaraderie. The Leadership of the forum expressed their immense delight on having Honored their invitation.
The meeting which started with an introduction saw all the members of the forum make their heartfelt opinions heard in respect to youth Empowerment packages, Political inclusion and decision making for the Youths of Obowo. They registered their displeasure that despite the plethora of Political heavyweights being produced by the zone, The Youths still felt left out of the current Administration when it comes to Youth Development.
Reacting to this, Hon Eric Uwakwe assured them that under his watch, their submissions will be given due and adequate consideration. And that the Government of the Day will ensure that the youths of Obowo are being carried along across all sectors. He further encouraged them to work closer with the Government in order to expedite the achievement of this agenda. In his words
" we are working towards ensuring a Youth inclusive Government where over 60% of the Government will be composed of Youths. And we are here to give you the necessary support to achieve that. Having said this, I encourage you all to vie for sensitive Political positions in the state"
Towards the close of what was a productive meeting, Hon Uwakwe was Awarded by the Forum for his contributions towards community development and Youth Empowerment in the state.
