FUTO Releases Program of Activities  For Her 33rd Convocation Ceremony

Federal University of Technology Owerri FUTO, has released the timetable for her 33rd Convocation Ceremony. In a statement released by Prof. C. C. Eze, Chairman, Ceremonials Committee of the University, The activities will start on the 30th of November, 2021 and climax on the 4th of December, 2021.

The statement went further to read that The Vice- Chancellor, Professor Mrs. Nnenna N. Oti, on behalf of Management and Staff of the institution is inviting the general public to the event.

The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Mrs. Nnenna N. Oti, on behalf of the University Management, invites the general public to the 33rd Convocation Ceremony of the Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO) scheduled as follows:

Tuesday, November 30, 2021 Event: Vice-Chancellor’s Pre-Convocation Press Briefing Venue: Council/Senate Chamber, FUTO Time: 1.00 pm.

Wednesday, December 1, 2021 Event: Ecumenical Service Venue: 1000 Capacity Hall of Excellence, FUTO Time: 11.00 am.

Thursday, December 2, 2021 Events: Tree-Planting at selected Sites in FUTO & Chancellor’s/Alumni Cocktail Night Time: 10.00 am & 4.00 pm, respectively.

Friday, December 3, 2021 Event A: 33rd Convocation Lecture Venue: Hall of Excellence, FUTO Time: 12.00 pm.

Event B: Students’ Research and Innovation Exposition Show Venue: Convocation Arena, FUTO Time: 4.00 pm.

Saturday, December 4, 2021 Events: 33rd Convocation Ceremony comprising Admission into various Degrees, Award of Postgraduate Diplomas & Prizes, Induction of the Graduands by the Chancellor Venue: Convocation Arena, FUTO Time: 11.00 am.

The Convocation Lecture shall be delivered by the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of Council of the Federal University of Technology, Akura (FUTA), Amb. Dr. Godknows Boladei Igali, OON, on the topic “The Challenge of Funding and Survival of University Education: Options for Radical Trajectory in Nigerian Universities”.
