Father frustrated by WAEC cancellation of his Brilliant son's Results
~ Passionately appeals for financial support for his Medical course
Mr Peter Alozie is the father of a brilliant son everyone will like to have. The name of the child is Alozie Praise Nnamdi. He hails from Oboama Nguru in Aboh Mbaise LGA, Imo State. Mr Alozie is in the news to draw the attention of the general public to what he considers as an unfair and unjust cancellation of the 2021 Physics result of his brilliant son, by the West African Examination Council (WAEC).
Mr Alozie, stated that the 2021 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) which his son took was strictly conducted and supervised by well informed WAEC personnels and agents at Marist Brothers Juniorate, Uturu where no proofs or traces of students examination malpractices were recorded or observed either before, during or after the examinations, hence, attested in writing and signatures by WAEC invigilators themselves.
So, on what logical reasons did WAEC base her decision to cancel students Physics results at this centre? Besides, Marist Brothers Juniorate where the student studied and took his examinations is an Institution of repute with records of students discipline and decades of academic excellence in Nigeria.
The heartbroken dad said "On a student personal assessment, my son, Alozie Praise Nnamdi is among students of his set with leading academic performances in the school. In 2021 NECO examinations, he made all his papers with A1 result in Physics subject. In JAMB/ UTME at University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN), he made an average of 325.5 scores which may qualify him for a University admission in Medicine and Surgery", he stated. He continued, "At graduation from school, Nnamdi was honoured with an award of Best in Chemistry and Physics among his many colleagues by the School Management", he concluded.
In view of these revelations, it's obvious that Alozie Praise Nnamdi, is in all argument a bright and brilliant student with possibility of making an A1 also (which he did ) in the WAEC Physics examination. Or is it not possible for a student to make nine A1s in WAEC examinations?
By this and in every honesty, this act by WAEC is a gross judgement in error, a discredit to hardwork and a discouragement to the ingenuity of willing students, and should therefore be condemned by all and sundry.
He continued "I therefore call on the good public to treat the issue on merit and prevail on WAEC to reconsider her position on the matter and withdraw her pronounced cancellation of the Physics subject results, giving the merited results to deserving students, and by so doing, save the academic dreams of our Children/ Wards and the society at large from similar embarrassments in the future".
APPEALS FOR FINANCIAL SUPPORT FOR SON'S MEDICAL SCHOOL
Mr Peter Alozie finally poured out his soul, saying, "On a second note, l humbly wish to solicit for possible support and assistance to Nnamdi my son, to enable him in his University study programs. As a father with average income and responsibilities, I may not have the capacity to effectively provide him with enabling conditions and requirements as may be needed in his course of study, Medicine and Surgery. I therefore appeal to my beloved brothers and the willing public, whom it pleases, for help and assistances that may encourage Nnamdi engage effectively in his University education programs. l am confident every investment made on his academics shall by God's grace bring rewarding benefits to our people and the society, and l and my family will always appreciate your kind gestures".
Mr Peter Alozie who is also an elder in the Church prayed the ever merciful Lord to strengthen you and reward your sacrifices immensely, in Jesus's mighty name.
