Engr Dr. Ifeanyi Henry Njoku has experienced his own share and therefore gone before us to the world beyond.
Engr.Dr Ifeanyi Henry Njoku was buried in his home town, Umualumaku in Ehime Mbano Local Government Area of Imo state. Family, colleagues, associates, Students friends and well wishers from all works of human endeavour gathered at his home town on Friday,17th of December to pay the last respect to a man many described as ' Exceptional'.
Anybody that came across the late Engr. Njoku had one or two good testimonies to give, he really impacted so many lives, hence, the mammoth crowd at his funeral.
The Priest in his sermon charged everyone to be prepared for death is no respecter of any, he noted that the Late Njoku has lived his own life and it now incumbent on the people he left behind to keep his legacy going.
Born on the 15th of September, 1972, he attended the prestigious Government Secondary School Owerri where he obtained his West African School Certificate in 1988. He proceeded to the famous University of Nigeria Nsukka, there, he bagged a degree in Mechanical Engineering and at the Rivers State of Science and Technology, Engr. Njoku got his Master's degree still in the same field as his first degree program.
As a man that loved Education, Engr. Njoku enrolled at the University of Port Harcourt where acquired a Ph.D. He was a registered member of the Council for Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria COREN and also a member of American With Society AWS.
Until his last moment, The ever cheerful old boy of Government Secondary School Owerri was the CEO of Henic Engineering Limited.
His passion for impacting knowledge made the late Engr a household name in the teaching profession too. He was a senior lecturer with the mechanical Engineering Department of the Federal University of Technology Owerri FUTO.
He was a fellow of the Center for Climate Change and Development (CCCD) of the Alex Ekwueme Federal University, Ndufu Alike, Ebonyi State and a senior research fellow in Long - Term Energy Modelling/ Scenarios on the Deep Decarbonization Pathways in Nigeria (DPP - Nigeria) Project.
