Governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodinma has described the death of the former Military Governor of old Anambra State and First Military Governor of old Enugu State, Colonel Dr. Hebert Obi Ezeh as a big loss to the South Eastern region in general and Imo State in particular.
In a FaceBook post on Friday, The Governor described the deceased as a courageous man who served his fatherland meritoriously with dedication.
"Today, I joined the Family, Friends and Associates of Late Col. (Dr.) Herbert Obi Ezeh as we bade him farewell to the bosom of the Lord".
"Colonel (Dr.) Herbert Obi Ezeh who was the Military Governor of old Anambra State and First Military Governor of old Enugu State served his fatherland meritoriously with dedication. Nicknamed "Eze War" by his colleagues in the Nigeria Military School, the Colonel gave in his best in service during and after his career in the Military".
"Although he was retired, Colonel Herbert Obi Ezeh continued to offer selfless service to our dear Imo State, the South Eastern region and Nigeria at large. The Ochendo 1 of Enugu State who hails from Ubahaeze Awo-Idemili in Orsu LGA of Imo State, was recognized by his people as the Ikemba 1 of Orlu and his hometown identified as Ikemba Town".
"His death remains a big loss to the Nigeria Military, the people of Imo State and the entire South Eastern region. On behalf of the Government and people of Imo State, I offer my deepest condolence to the family and the Nigeria Military while praying for eternal rest on to him". The Governor posted.
