Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the under listed vacant academic positions in the indicated Faculties and Programmes.

ACADEMIC POSITIONS Professor, Reader/Deputy Librarian, Senior Lecturer/Senior Librarian, Lecturer I/Librarian I, Lecturer II/Librarian II, Assistant Lecturer/Assistant Librarian.

A. FACULTY OF AGRICULTURE Agricultural Extension, Agricultural Economics, Animal Production, Crop Production, Soil Science, Fisheries & Aquaculture, Food Science and Technology.

B. FACULTY OF ARTS, SOCIAL AND MANAGEMENT SCIENCES Accounting, Taxation, Peace Studies and Conflict Resolution, Criminology and Security Studies, Psychology, Business Administration, Marketing, Entrepreneurship, Cooperative and Rural Development, English.

C. FACULTY OF ENGINEERING Civil Engineering, Water & Irrigation Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Chemical Engineering.

D. FACULTY OF ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCES Estate Management and Valuation, Environmental Management & Toxicology, Horticulture & Landscape Architecture.

E. FACULTY OF SCIENCE AND COMPUTING Biology, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, Physics, Chemistry.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

i. Professor Applicants should possess a Doctorate Degree in the relevant field and must have been in the position of a Reader for a minimum of three years in a recognized University. The applicant must demonstrate the ability to initiate, develop and supervise research, capacity for academic leadership and a good record of scholarly publications in relevant peer reviewed journals. Registration with relevant professional bodies will be an added advantage.

ii. Reader/Deputy Librarian Applicants should possess a Doctorate Degree in the relevant field and must have been in the position of a Senior Lecturer/Senior Librarian for a minimum of three years in a recognized University. The applicant must demonstrate the ability to initiate, develop and supervise research, capacity for academic leadership and a good record of scholarly publications in relevant peer reviewed journals. Registration with relevant professional bodies will be an added advantage.

iii. Senior Lecturer/Senior Librarian Applicants should possess a Doctorate Degree in the relevant field plus a minimum of six (6) years post qualification experience in teaching (for Senior Lecturer) and research in a recognized University, as well as sufficient scholarly publications in relevant peer reviewed journals.

iv. Lecturer I/Librarian I Applicants are expected to possess a Doctorate Degree in the relevant field plus a minimum of three (3) years post doctoral work experience in teaching (for Lecturer I) and research in a recognized University, as well as scholarly publications in relevant peer reviewed journals. Holders of Masters Degree must have a minimum of six(6) years post Masters work experience in teaching (for Lecturer I) and research in a recognized University, as well as sufficient scholarly publications in relevant peer reviewed journals.

v. Lecturer II/Librarian II Applicants are expected to possess a Doctorate Degree in the relevant field. Holders of Masters Degree must have a minimum of three(3) years post Masters work experience in teaching (for Lecturer II) and research in a recognized University, as well as scholarly publications in relevant peer reviewed journals.

vi. Assistant Lecturer Applicants must have a Masters Degree in the relevant field.
